The basic model filters the rainwater from floating contaminants such as grit, sand and pollen. Adsorbs many dissolved substances such as benzenes, halogens and apolar organic substances. At the same time it improves the color and smell of the rainwater.

This triple filter consists of:
- 25 micron sediment ‘rope filter’; as the first filtration step. This filter cartridge stops the coarser pollution of small dust particles such as sand, rust, pollen and other suspended substances. The rope filter (string wound) is a depth filter cartridge with a high absorption capacity. Removes the smaller contaminants from the water.
- 10 micron sediment filter, purifies the rainwater from the smallest sediment contamination.
- Activated carbon filter; activated carbon is the most versatile and effective filter material in water purification, it is treated in such a way that it acquires an immense internal surface; from 500 to 1500 m2 per gram! Activated carbon is therefore able to remove many different (potentially harmful) substances from water. Makes the water beautifully clear.

The lifespan of the filter cartridges depends on the degree of contamination of the rainwater and the dirt contained in the rainwater barrel. Filter cartridges are saturated when significant pressure and flow loss occurs.
